Make Bengaluru Green – World Environment Day
GT Foundation Champions Green Initiatives on World Environment Day
On the occasion of World Environment Day, GT FOUNDATION, in association with Make Bangalore Green, reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability by launching an ambitious drive to plant 5 lakh saplings across Bengaluru.
The initiative was formally kick-started at Jakkur Lake at 8:00 AM, in the esteemed presence of the Honorable Minister Shri Krishna Byregowda and the Joint Commissioner of BBMP. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from civic authorities, environmental groups, corporates, and citizens who share a common vision of a greener and healthier city.
Hebron Properties CEO, Mr. Preenand, the driving force behind this initiative, assured full support in achieving the milestone of planting and nurturing 5 lakh plants across the city. Emphasizing collective responsibility, Mr. Suresh Kumar GT, Founder of GT FOUNDATION, stated that “Hasire Usiru and every citizen must take ownership of planting and protecting trees in their surroundings to ensure a sustainable future.”
As part of the World Environment Day activities, GT FOUNDATION also extended its support to the Horamavu community, joining hands with local residents in their efforts to rejuvenate the lake ecosystem by planting trees around its periphery. This initiative not only contributes to environmental restoration but also strengthens community participation in conservation efforts.
